Kevin Glowicki told a court commissioner today that he is an “independent journalist.” Looking at court records and speaking to his critics, however, a lot of people are skeptical of the title. For example, Glowicki was arrested and cited for violation of curfew while protesting against Kyle Rittenhouse on August 29, 2020 in Kenosha. He was also cited for blocking traffic and disorderly assemblage for an incident on April 12, 2021 in which he was protesting alongside BLM.  He frequently screams “Black Lives Matter” and obscenities that you don’t see from legitimate journalists. That isn’t to say Glowicki is doing something wrong, it’s his 1st amendment right – but most credible journalists don’t pick a side during a protest.

A frequent critic of Glowicki Gina S.,  tells the KCE that “Glowicki couch surfs 24 to 48 hours at a time, with no address to call his own.” In fact, court commissioner Loren Keating had to get stern today with Glowicki when he refused to give the court his address. “You will write your address, and you will write it now,” Keating stated.

Gina also tells us “Most of his (Glowicki’s) work is that of conspiracy theories.” He was actually admonished by Kenosha Police for just that, claiming there was a fourth shooting victim on August 25, 2020.

We wrote an article about Kevin Glowicki over a year ago. We told the community about his several felony convictions including for a violent domestic abuse incident against his now-ex wife. Glowicki lost custody of his child.

Last week, popular social media streamer, C.J. Halliburton (C J T V) petitioned the court for a harassment restraining order and a court commissioner granted it on a temporary basis. Today at 9:15am, a hearing was scheduled to determine if the order would be extended or dismissed. Glowicki, who frequently changes addresses had not been served by deputies – they couldn’t locate him. Today he was served in court in the presence of all parties.

Objection to Media Presence

Glowicki told the Court that he objected to the KCE photographer being in the court room and photographing the proceedings. Glowicki kept his mask on and tried to look away from the photographer, but we did get a couple of photos for today’s story. Glowicki says that KCE “doxxed” him and he has safety concerns. Glowicki’s argument is that by us posting his violent criminal history and frequent use of  racial and homophobic slurs, that we are responsible for threats against him. He has not provided us with any evidence. “Are you concerned that Mr. Mathewson is going to attack you in front of three deputies?” asked Keating. “It would be a bad career choice if he did.” Glowicki replied that he did not think so. “The media coordinator vets them (KCE) and I decide who photographs in this court room. He (Mathewson) is approved to photograph here today,” Commissioner Keating said.

After the Kenosha County Eye learned of this petition, we reached out to Glowicki for comment. He asked us to send him the complaint so he was better prepared to answer our request for comment. We sent him the complaint and he did not comment. Since Glowicki was not formally served with the petition, it is unclear if Glowicki can be prosecuted for the below video he posted while under the influence. In this video, he is seemingly trying to threaten C J T V with a civil suit if C J T V doesn’t “cancel all of it.”  This could be considered intimidation of a witness or a violation of a temporary restraining order.

C J T V started documenting current events and culturally relevant stories all around the country.  He filmed the unrest during the occupy protest in 2020 in Seattle, WA and moved on to stream in Portland, OR. He wanted to correct some of the misinformation that was being reported and taught himself how to stream from his phone. “I thought, there is a story to be told here.” CJ told KCE tonight. CJ wants to help people get their messages across and maintain that message. He sees violence and rioting as a distraction. “It robbed the people of their message.” CJTV has about 70,000 followers across social media. CJ can be seen traveling alone, or sometimes with his sister, Shama Bartlett. “I took his video as a veiled threat to make this go away, but this is a safety issue.” CJ tells us he plans to move forward with this action, despite the perceived intimidation.

CJ was in Kenosha during the Rittenhouse shooting and was the one who may have actually saved Gaige Grosskreutz’s life by applying a tourniquet.

Since Glowicki was not properly served, Commissioner Keating adjourned the hearing until January 25, 2022. Keating could grant an order for up to 4 years.

    1. He has lost his mind! He doxed himself!
He uses his real name online and he’s allover Google!
I heard him give his phone number online one day. When he stays in a hotel you can tell where he is, each hotel has different decor on websites. He goes live drunk and tells all his own information! All in the name of donations!
People came to the hotel once by a pizza place back behind the hotel while he was smoking out the hotel window and they saw him! They called out his name, he got full of himself and went downstairs in a bullet proof vest and all while live on Facebook! Of course they weren’t there for them! No idiot wants to do life in prison over his stupid ass!
He is a VERY dangerous man with a phone and voice, and not for BLM, his voice does dangerous things to get people hurt or worse? His biggest fear is lack of donations… HE IS SATIRE! Unsub him so he stops hurting innocent people!

  1. He seems drunk off his ass in that shared video. How can he afford a “lawsuit” when he can’t even pay his own phone bill? He says there’s a large reward for evidence. Lol
