Warden Jason Wells

Jason Wells, who is the prison’s Warden, has overseen many scandals and deaths at RCI in the recent months. In August of 2022 a high-ranking prison employee was charged with 41 felonies for misconduct and an inappropriate relationship with an inmate. In November of 2022, there was an attempted escape of a convicted murderer that was paroled by Governor Evers. In January of this year, an inmate died at the prison. In March of this year, another inmate died in the prison. A spokesman at the Wisconsin Department of Corrections said he wasn’t aware of the death, but KCE has been told that it is a drug overdose.

  1. The situation at RCI should be very concerning to any family that has a loved one incarcerated there.
Fact is, Tony Evers ran for office making promises of prison reform included reducing prison population by 50%.
This will be damage controlled by DOC and no one will ever know what really happened.

      1. we should move them into the governor’s mansion since he thinks it is all wonderful to let these thugs out of prison

    1. Stop letting these convicted felons have in person visits, plus after act 10, thanks walker, the standard for hiring hit an all time low as in NO standard just heart beat please. Now anybody can be a supervisor, just look at the clown college at this so called day care/ prison. Let’s try Back to common sense… Yea right,

        1. You are really ignorant for your comment…these inmates are human beings not just a dam number or a piece of shit… My son was the inmate that just passed away in that shit hole…now his 6yr old daughter is devastated..

        1. Who cares? KCC is a MINIMUM custody facility, these guys have one foot out the door, they don’t care about any in-person visits, anyway!

      2. Remember when the prerequisite to become a supervisor used to be having an OWI, now it’s just a willingness to lie for other supervisors and point the perverbly finger at officers trying ever so much to shift the blame. Thank you Officers for having to dodge getting shanked by inmates along with stabbed in the back by supervisors 16 hrs a day. I will stick to shoe spray boy at the bowling alley where I am appreciated by management.

  3. Remember when prisons were places that men that could be reformed were reformed and then released back into society as productive members who immediately took up a trade and settled their ass down?

Thank Democucks for removing the trade skill programs and institution brain washing “programming” straight out of a NKVD training manual.
