Waukegan Police Office Kevin Sanchez and Chief Keith Zupeck
Arresting Clyde McLemore, Violent Multiple Felon

Clyde McLemore told KCE that he has more that 30 felony convictions on his record. He is out on bond for allegedly trying to severely injure a Kenosha Police Officer during the riots of 2020. According to the criminal complaint, McLemore kicked a door closed as a Kenosha Police Officer had his fingers in the way of the jam. McLemore later bragged on Facebook that he tried to chop off the officer’s fingers when he kicked the door closed.

Becuase of Kenosha County DA Mike Graveley’s close ties to the BLM movement, he handed the prosecution over to the Walworth County DA, Zeke Wiedenfeld. Wiedenfeld charged McLemore with Attempted Battery To A Law Enforcement Officer, a serious felony, and disorderly conduct.

Liberal activist attorney Deja Vishney took the case, assumingly for free, and at first asked that the case be dismissed. She said kicking a door is protected under the first amendment. She lost the argument and appealed. She lost again. On October 3, 2022, while out on bond and promising not to commit further crime, he was arrested for trespassing. According to the Waukegan Police report and body-worn-camera footage, McLemore was using profanity at a City Hall meeting and wouldn’t leave when asked. The Chief of Police and two other officers arrested McLemore.

Here is the body-warn-camera footage of the arrest:

McLemore was heard calling the Mayor a “bitch” as he was led out of the council chambers. The officers who arrested McLemore seemed to sympathize with him. “You’ve always been a man of great character,” said one of the officers. The officer then un-handcuffed McLemore as soon as he was out of view of the meeting. The officers then talked about “being on YouTube.” McLemore later stated he wanted to be arrested so he could sue the City. An officer laughed about that. They let McLemore smoke a cigarette indoors, even finding a lighter for him. We spoke to Waukegan Chief of Police Keith Zupec and Deputy Chief Joe Florip, who serves as the department’s Public Information Officer. We asked about their policy concerning un-handcuffing prisoners. This was especially a concern becuase McLemore has been convinced of escape on three occasions. The Deputy Chief and Chief became furious with KCE and Florip said he wasn’t sure what the policy on handcuffing is. Here in Kenosha, prisoners must remain in handcuffs unless there are exigent circumstances. Chief Zupec said McLemore was treated the same as any other prisoner. The Mayor refused comment.

DAs Graveley and Wiedenfeld were notified of this arrest. They were forwarded the police reports, criminal complaint, and body-camera footage. They both declined to charged McLemore with Felony Bail-Jumping. They are both BLM sympathizers and want to protect McLemore from risking further exposure of prison. McLemore is scheduled for trial on December 19, 2022. Judge Jason Rossell won’t let the jury learn that McLemore seriously injured a Lake County Deputy Sheriff by dragging him along-side his moving vehicle and was convicted of a felony related to the incident.

When Kenosha County Circuit Court Judge Bruce Schroeder banned prosecutors in the Rittenhouse case from calling anyone “victims,” the progressives, like McLemore and his attorney, lost their minds. CNN, MSNBC, and the like, published headline after headline about this common ruling. McLemore, however, asked Kenosha Judge Jason Rossell to ban the prosecutors in his case from calling the Kenosha Police Officer a “victim.” He also wants the Judge to ban prosecutors from referring to McLemore as the president of the Lake County BLM chapter, which he is. Judge Rossell has not yet ruled on this latest motion. KCE will be at the trial of McLemore and will report back.

Two Kenosha County Judges Overruled By Appellate Court

Two local judges were recently overruled by a Wisconsin appellate court.  It all started when a defense lawyer, Mark Richards, filed a “substitution of judge” request in a criminal case.  Every defendant gets the right to file one substitution, and KCE has learned that most defense lawyers substitute against Judge Angelina Gabriele.  That is what Mark Richards did.  Commissioner Bill Michel found the written request to be “timely filed.”  He then granted it, assigned the case

  1. Trying to amputate someone’s fingers is a first amendment right? Remember stupid progressive attorney, your first amendment rights ends at the tip of my nose.

  2. Thanks for writing an article on this. The video was quite interesting. I’m taken aback at the officers’ placating of McLemore. Well…. better to say I’m embarrassed for them. Does McLemore even reside in Waukegan? As he ranted at the podium, he sounds strangely similar to Darrell Brooks! With evil and hate in his heart…and sounds like an uneducated idiot.

    1. Wrong!
Police are just a bigger part of what the media wants you to see.
They focus very little on the thugs that are the big part of why the police need to be involved in the first place.

  3. Waukegan police officers give BLM POS special treatment. Chief and public information officer defend cops’ bad behavior. No wonder Waukegan is such a shit hole. Any Kenosha defendant who catches a bail jumping charge for a minor offense needs to use this example to claim selective prosecution.

  4. First , If your going to speak in public read and learn the materials your speaking to. This guy clearly no Rhodes Scholar ! BLM is a criminal organization on it very being and this gentleman we’ll represents the leadership . No suprise that this is the caliber of people Gravley embraces . He is my example has corrupt has BLM itself. But hey Kenosha you get what you vote for !
